Direct messages allow for one-to-one private conversations with a colleague. Messages can be sent directly to individual teammates, or as part of group chat in a communication “channel” – more on those later in the next section. The left-hand panel provides an overview of all unread message notifications, as well as shared files, available and installed apps, staff directory and access to individual channels and direct messages. At the top of the app is search bar that lets users quickly find mentions of a topic in messages channels, locate files or find a colleague. Once your automation is activated, responses that meet the conditions you set will trigger a Slack notification when someone completes a form.Slack’s rise has not been without its challenges, most significantly Microsoft’s introduction of its rival Teams app, with Slack CEO Stewart Butterfield telling The Verge in May that Microsoft is “perhaps unhealthily preoccupied with killing us, and Teams is the vehicle to do that.” To turn the automation on, find it in your Automation Manager list, and click the toggle to activate it.

WORKSPACE SLACK INSTALL
To send notifications to a private channel, use /invite to install the GetFeedback app in the channel first. Right now, you can only set up notifications for Slack channels, not inside of DMs. To send responses to multiple channels, separate channel names with a comma. In the Details section, use the dropdown to select a Slack Workspace.Įnter the name of the Slack channel you want responses to be posted in. Once your conditions are set up, click Continue to details. If you’re setting up notifications based on conditions, you’ll choose which data source, type of information, and logic you want notifications to be based on. For example, you can set conditions to only receive Slack notifications for responses with low NPS scores. Responses that match conditions: set logic and conditions to get Slack notifications for specific kinds of responses. In the Conditions section, select All Responses or Responses that match conditions.Īll Responses: you’ll get a Slack notification every time someone submits a response to the form you’ve selected. In the Data section find the form you want to receive response notifications from. Once you’re connected, you’ll see your Slack connection listed on the Integrations page.
